I'm hoping someone can chime in to provide extra considerations and perspectives.
Mpc vs maschine plus#
I wish I could road test the Plus for a few weeks but as that is not an option I'm considering biting the bullet and purchasing one to see how it feels. I would be used when jamming out in bed or hanging with friends which removes the earlier limitation of saw integration. I feel a bit stumped now though as I would not be looking to integrate into Ableton with a standalone unit it. I wanted to move away from the Maschine environment as I prefer to work in Ableton and found it extremely difficult to integrate the two in a simple way on top of this I bought a Komplete Kontrol which made it a lot easier for me to access NI sound libraries within Ableton. My difficulty comes in that I sold my Machine Mk3 to help fund the MPC. I am also having some difficulty getting the pads to trigger consistently when it comes to playing softer notes and chords. It feels quite blocky and slow to get ideas out and often leaves me feeling limited in my approach and lost when attempting to build longer sequences. I recently bought the Mpc Live II and while I love some features such as the battery and speakers, I am finding the workflow quite janky.
